Congratulations to all of the participants in the Bimini Native Fishing Tournament held August 4th, 2023 at Bimini Big Game Club.
It was an exciting event with points being granted for several different types of fish including barracudas, mackerels, king fish, groupers and jacks.
Ken Stubbs and the local Bimini Tournament Committee were the force behind bringing this legendary tournament back to life along with. Ken’s grandfather started this tournament over 70 years ago! It has been an honor for Bimini Big Game Club to help reestablish this historic event.
Results of the Native Fishing Tournament 2023:
Overall Winner (and Junior Angler Winner): Robbie Smith Jr. ‘Cuda King’ with 840 points!
Dock Fishing Winner: Jonny Bowleg with 130 points plus he is the winner for biggest snapper at 1.9 pounds.
Class A Winner: Jen Colson with 414 points.
Class B Winner: Robbie Smith Sr. with 40 points.
Biggest Barracuda Winner: Robbie Smith Jr. at 15.4 lbs.
Biggest Mackerel Winner: Jen Colson at 11.2 lbs.
Biggest Grouper Winner: Amanda Colson
