By Robert Silk January 23, 2017
Air Canada and the Florida-based regional carrier Silver Airways have entered into an interline agreement, the airlines announced Monday.
Under the deal, fliers can purchase a single ticket to connect from Silver’s network of nearly 20 cities in the Bahamas and Florida to the more than 60 cities that Air Canada, its leisure-centric affiliate Air Canada Rouge and its regional airline partner’s service in Canada.
The move is likely to have the most impact on Canadian travelers who are headed to smaller Florida and Bahamian destinations during the cold months. Among the smaller cities covered in the agreement are Key West, Tallahassee and Pensacola in Florida and Bimini, Freeport, Eleuthera, the Abacos and Great Exuma in the Bahamas.
